Covenant

The word Covenant in Hebrew is "Berit." It means to cut (make) a deal. The Greek word is "Diatheke" and means an agreement. In Latin it is "Testamentum" - it is from this word that we get the word "Testament." 

Eschatology

The word 'Eschatology' refers to end time events. The word 'eschatos" means "lastly" and the word 'ology' comes from the Greek word "logia."

Eisegesis

The word "Eisegesis" means "lead into."

Exegesis 

The word "Exegesis" means "lead out from." It is normally used in Theology to refer to the process of drawing information from a biblical text.

Monergism

This word means "works alone." The term "Mono" means "alone" and the term "ergon" means "works." The word (Monogersim) denotes that salvations is the sole work of God.

Orthodoxy

The word "orthodoxy" means "righteous opinion." It refers to the 'right' or 'correct' way of explaining beliefs, doctrines, and practices.

Orthopraxy

The word 'Orthopraxy' means "right practice" or "correct practice." It deals with moral ethics with in Religion.

Soteriology

The word 'Soteriology' is the study of salvation. The word 'soteria' means "salvation" and the Greek word 'logos' which means "word" refers to the study of.

The word Supralapsarian means "under the fall."

​Infralapsarian

​The word Infralapsarian means "after the fall."

Theology

The word 'Theology' is a compound of two words - 'Theos' meaning "God" and 'Logia' meaning "Sayings." Theology is the study of Religious beliefs. In Christianity, it is the study of God and who he is. 

Trinity

The word Trinity comes from a Latin word Trinitas that mean's "triad." It comes from the word Trinus that means "threefold."
