Cherubs

 A.C.Pike

The images of Cherubs that we see in churches are not what the Bible describe as Cherubs.

The images (of a baby) of Cherubs in churches are infact that of the Greek deity Eros known in Latin as the deity Cupid.

The Bible describes Cherubs with four wings and four faces of a man, oxen, lion and eagle (Ezekiel 1:4-13).

Conclusion

One) We are told in Scripture to, "Worship the lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve" (Luke 4:8 AV). This means that our worship should only be towards Jehovah God and unaided (not with religious artefacts).

Two) That Cherubs in the Bible look different to the pagan Cupid/Eros that we see in churches.
