Introduction
This is a brief article that explains what a church should do on the Lord's Day for it's worship service.
Here are the six mandates of a church service.
One) The preaching and teaching of the word.
Two) Prayer.
Three) Psalm Singing
Four) The Lord's Supper.
Five) Fellowship.
Six) Collection for the Saints. *
If a church goes beyond these six things, then it is in violation of the Regulative Principle of Worship.
There is no command in Scripture for dancing, poetry, puppet shows or personal testimonies.
Conclusion
We should adhere to the word of God and what he commands for Lord's Day worship.
Note
* The collection for the Saints wasn't a regular part of the Lord's Day Service. It was undertaken when aid was needed to be sent to brethren in need.
